Description

Up

Title:
Family Records
Author:  Ashworth P. Burke
Publisher:  Heraldic Publishing Company, Inc.
Originally published in 1897
Reprinted in 1965
Hardcover book with 709 pages.
About 9.25 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide.
This book gives important genealogical data for British families that were not included in Burke’s previous two volumes:
Peerage and Baronetage
and
Landed Gentry
.  According to the author’s Preface:
“The nobility and gentry of the three Kingdoms are however by no means confined to these classes, but include many other families of equal position, descent and alliance, for a gentleman derives his nobility from his ancestors and not from the mere possession of lands or titles.”
The families are presented in alphabetical order (by last name).  Where available, heraldry is also presented.  This book is fully indexed.
SPECIAL NOTE:  If you would like to know whether the surname of your family is included, before you bid, I would be happy to look it up.  Please message me through e-Bay and I will answer as soon as I can.
Please
see above for complete description of condition and photos.   Sold as is.
Attention
US Buyers:  I will ship by USPS Media Mail or by USPS Priority Mail,
your choice.  Please note that if you have a Military Mail address (e.g. APO), I must ask that you choose USPS Priority Mail as it is my understanding that USPS Media Mail is unreliable to Military Mail addresses.
Attention International Buyers:  Unfortunately, it appears that international shipping from the US (via the USPS) has become unreliable, because of the pandemic.  Therefore, I have decided to remove the international shipping option.  You are still welcome to bid on this item, but will need to supply a shipping address in the US.  I’m sorry for the inconvenience.  Thank you for your understanding.
